“The stark contrasts of brilliant colour and form in nature”
The history of the desert landscape and past heroes can still be glimpsed in the names of places and rivers, traditions and legends. My new collection the Desert Landscape captures the stark contrasts of brilliant colour and form in nature’s harshest conditions.
Colour and Composition, these are the magic words when working with glass which becomes an integral part of working with design and form – the abstract use of colour and pattern.
The diversity of our environments with its vastness and uniqueness, from the desert night with its inky blackness punctuated by the night of celestial bodies, to cloudless blue skies, to valleys of vines and paddocks of green, the shifting sands to glaring lakes, rivers and creeks that run with purple ridges, the Desert Pea with its clusters of red breaking into blossoming explosions of colour. All is captured in the Desert Landscape Collection.
